Fictional portfolio example
Harbour Ridge Residence.
A fictional residential concept showing how a Sydney home can be reworked for calm daily living, stronger storage, better lighting and a more resolved connection between entertaining and private spaces.
Design intent
Harbour Ridge Residence is presented as a made-up project example for the new website. The concept centres on a family residence where the owners wanted a more composed, useful interior without making the home feel staged or overly precious.
The design direction uses warm neutrals, textured stone, timber joinery, layered lighting and furniture with generous proportions. The goal is to make the house feel refined but still comfortable enough for normal family use.
Scope shown
- Entry sequence and arrival storage
- Living, dining and kitchen palette
- Custom joinery and display shelving
- Bedroom soft furnishings and lighting
- Outdoor entertaining furniture direction
- Procurement schedule and styling plan
Key design moves
More useful storage
Storage is treated as part of the architecture, with concealed joinery, shallow display zones and practical everyday drop points.
Quieter material palette
Stone, timber, linen and muted metal finishes are used to reduce visual noise and create a more settled interior.
Layered lighting
General lighting is softened with wall lights, feature pendants and task lighting so the home can shift from daytime function to evening atmosphere.
